Why Recital Matters
Recital is the full dance experience—a celebration of all the hard work, dedication, and growth that has led up to this moment. Performing is what dance is all about: conquering fears, building character, and showing up with confidence. It’s a chance to celebrate the strength of each dancer as they rise to the challenge, supported by their teammates and teachers every step of the way.
The memories from recital will last a lifetime, reminding dancers of their progress and the powerful bond they've created within the studio. This experience embodies our core values, where we nurture confidence, foster community, and develop character both on and off the stage. It’s a celebration of every dancer’s journey, a chance for them to shine, feel proud, and take their dance to the next level. We can’t wait to create these unforgettable moments with you!

Volunteers Needed
Help Us Make our Recital Shine!
Our recital wouldn’t be the same without the support of our amazing parents! Volunteering is a fun and rewarding way to get involved and help ensure everything runs smoothly during our big show.
Things to Know:
-
Volunteers will be backstage and in the dressing rooms for the entire duration of the show and will not be able to watch from the audience.
-
As a thank you for your time and support, volunteers will receive our recital media package complimentary.
-
What class is best for my dancer?Don’t worry! We offer free trial classes to help determine the best fit for your dancer.
-
What’s the dress code?We promote self-expression at The Hive, with a flexible dress code that ensures safety while allowing for creativity. For detailed attire recommendations, please refer to our Hive Info Package.
-
How does drop-off and pick-up work?Dancers should arrive no more than 10 minutes before class. Parents can wait in the hall during class or choose to drop off and return at the end.
-
Can I watch my child’s class? We focus on fostering independence, which is why our space is designed for dancers to learn without a parent viewing area. This helps students build confidence, focus, and responsibility while allowing parents to enjoy a well-deserved break.
-
What if my dancer has a break or back-to-back classes? If classes are back-to-back, our staff will escort dancers to their next studio. If your dancer has a break, they can stay quietly in the studio. Please email us to let the office know if they plan to stay.
-
Is recital participation mandatory? No, recital participation is optional. However, recital is an incredible experience that builds confidence, teamwork, and stage presence, so we highly recommend it! If you prefer not to participate, please email the studio to register without recital involvement.
-
What are the additional costs for recital?Costume Fee – Required for recital performances. Pricing varies by class/age and will be shared during the season. Recital Tickets – Tickets are required for entry to our year-end recital.
